Site work for a water / sewer project in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
CD 50-3.12.10 - Inlet Project, Turtle Creek. Municipality: Borough of Turtle Creek. All work under this Contract will be performed within the Borough of Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The work under this project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of all reconstruction as indicated on the Contract Documents. The work essentially includes, but is not limited to: A. Remove existing Inlet. B. Saw cut existing asphalt and/or concrete sidewalks for removal and replacement of Inlet. C. Install new Inlet and connection of existing storm sewer as shown on Plans. D. Install section of new sidewalk if required. E. The completion of all required restoration, paving, landscaping, and any other such related and required work. F. All other such related and required work as indicated on the Contract Drawings or contained elsewhere in these Contract Documents. All excavation shall be unclassified and no extra payment will be made for rock, boulders, shale, timbers, logs, old foundations, old street car tracks, masonry or other natural or artificial materials encountered in the trenching operations except as may be noted in the Engineering Specifications. The Contractor shall make personal examination of the locations in which the pipelines are to be constructed to determine for himself the extent of the rock that may be encountered. The Contractor acknowledges there may not be sufficient time to perform pre-bid borings to determine the nature of the subsurface conditions and that the Contractor may have to rely on its visual inspection of the site when making a determination as to the character of the subsurface conditions. No information regarding subsurface conditions along the routes of the pipelines will be given by the owner. The Contractor shall assume all risks associated with the composition of the subsurface materials and the ease or difficulty of excavation. The Contractor shall not at any time claim a misunderstanding regarding the depth or character of the excavation to be made or in the nature of the materials to be encountered. This project shall be completed not more than sixty (60) consecutive calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Fax: 412-824-9587 14920 Route 30 North Huntingdon, PA 15642 Bid Item 1 - Boden Street - Inlet I-240 - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to perform the following: o Saw cut section of existing concrete sidewalk and pavement as directed by project representative o Remove existing Inlet. o Remove existing curb drain in front of inlet and replace with medium set concrete curb. o Install new Type "C" Inlet. o Connect to existing 12" dia. Influent & 12" dia. Effluent. All pipe trenches shall be backfilled and compacted with 2a stone. o Backfill void area where existing inlet was located with 2a modified stone compacted in 8" lifts. o Install new concrete sidewalk approximately 6'-10" wide x 13'-4" length. o Asphalt restoration to be in accordance with Turtle Creek Borough's Street Opening Ordinance No. 1058 and as per detail herein. o Contractor must use caution to protect existing Versa-Lok behind existing Inlet during construction. Damage to existing wall and/or grass restoration behind the wall if required, shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor at no additional cost to the Borough o MUST USE SDR-35 PIPING AND FERNCO FITTINGS FOR CONNECTIONS!!!! Bid Item 2 - Boden Street - Inlet I-241 o Saw cut section of existing concrete sidewalk and pavement as directed by project representative o Remove existing Inlet. o Remove existing curb drain in front of inlet and replace with medium set concrete curb. o Install new Type "C" Inlet in road o Connect to existing 12" dia. Influent & 12" dia. Effluent. All pipe trenches shall be backfilled and compacted with 2a stone. o Backfill void area where existing inlet was located with 2a modified stone compacted in 8" lifts. o Install new concrete sidewalk approximately 5'-1" wide x 10'-0" length. o Grass restoration as required and as directed by Project Representative. o Asphalt restoration to be in accordance with Turtle Creek Borough's Street Opening Ordinance No. 1058 and as per detail herein. Payment under Bid Item 1 o MUST USE SDR-35 PIPING AND FERNCO FITTINGS FOR CONNECTIONS!!!! Bid Item 3 - Boden Street - Inlet I-242 o Saw cut section of existing concrete sidewalk and pavement as directed by project representative o Remove existing Inlet. o Remove existing curb drain in front of inlet and replace with medium set concrete curb. o Install new Type "C" Inlet in road o Connect to existing 12" dia. Influent & Unknown dia. Effluent (Contractor to field verify) All pipe trenches shall be backfilled and compacted with 2a stone. o Backfill void area where existing inlet was located with 2a modified stone compacted in 8" lifts. o Install new concrete sidewalk approximately 4'-6" wide x 5'-0" length. o Grass restoration as required and as directed by Project Representative. o Asphalt restoration to be in accordance with Turtle Creek Borough's Street Opening Ordinance No. 1058 and as per detail herein o Contractor must use caution to protect existing asphalt driveway and utility pole during construction. Damage to asphalt driveway and/or grass restoration adjacent to the driveway, shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor at no additional cost to the Borough. o MUST USE SDR-35 PIPING AND FERNCO FITTINGS FOR CONNECTIONS!!!! Bid Item 4 - Seneca St. and Wilbur Avenue - Inlet I-338 o Saw cut section of existing pavement as directed by project representative o Remove existing Inlet. o Install new Type "M" Inlet in road o Connect to existing 6" dia. Influent, 6" dia. Influent, & 8" dia. Effluent All pipe trenches shall be backfilled and compacted with 2a stone. o Grass restoration as required and as directed by Project Representative. o Asphalt restoration to be in accordance with Turtle Creek Borough's Street Opening Ordinance No. 1058 and as per detail herein o MUST USE SDR-35 PIPING AND FERNCO FITTINGS FOR CONNECTIONS!!!! Bid Item 5 - Seneca Street and Wilbur Avenue - Inlet I-339 o Saw cut section of existing pavement as directed by project representative o Remove existing Inlet. o Install new Type "M" Inlet in road o Connect to existing 6" dia. Influent & 6" dia. Effluent All pipe trenches shall be backfilled and compacted with 2a stone. o Install new concrete sidewalk approximately 4'-6" wide x 5'-0" length. o Grass restoration as required and as directed by Project Representative. o Asphalt restoration to be in accordance with Turtle Creek Borough's Street Opening Ordinance No. 1058 and as per detail herein. o MUST USE SDR-35 PIPING AND FERNCO FITTINGS FOR CONNECTIONS!!!!
