A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Scope of Services for the Hotspot 3 Correction & Taxiway K Extension – Design includes all design phases, subject to modification through negotiation or by written addendum. The consultant must conduct a ground survey of the work area (approximately 50 acres), collect existing underground utility data where accessible, and depict the locations of other public and private utilities on construction drawings. Preliminary design services must address project phasing and financial planning with minimal impact to Airport Operations. The consultant will prepare final plans and specifications, provide final cost estimates, assist with bidding, and offer construction administration services, including inspection, contract administration, materials testing, and preparation of as-built drawings. They will assist in identifying, securing, and fulfilling state and federal grant opportunities. The project requires removal and mitigation of freshwater emergent and forested/shrub wetlands. The consultant team will coordinate with EGLE for appropriate permitting and assist in procuring wetland credits for mitigation. Phase 3 involves wildlife hazard removal and further wetland mitigation, with scope and fees to be negotiated after environmental clearance, and continued coordination with EGLE for design and permitting requirements as well as wetland credit procurement. Instructions to bidders include strict adherence to the outlined scope, coordination with regulatory bodies for wetland mitigation, and the completion of all designated design, administration, and permitting tasks.
