The project consists of replacing/relocating existing cast-iron pipe water mains with approximately 2,758 feet of new 16-inch ductile-iron pipe (DIP) mains in East-West Highway; 78 feet of new 8-inch ductile iron pipe in Rocton Avenue and Glengalen Lane; 115 feet of new 10-inch ductile iron pipe in Brookville Road; and 22 feet of new 12-inch ductile iron pipe near 3205-3207 Brooklawn Terrace in East-West Highway, Montgomery County, Maryland. The stream channel and the channel-bank area located along East-West Highway, west of Jones Mill Road, will be restored as shown and described on the Contract Drawings after the new 16" transmission main is installed and the existing 16" transmission is abandoned. The stream restoration work must be completed following the instructions provided on the contract plans and as described in detail by the Permit for Construction on Park Property issued by the Maryland - National Capital Park and Planning Commission. The project work includes replacing or relocating existing cast-iron pipe water mains with approximately 2,758 feet of new 16-inch ductile-iron pipe (DIP) mains on East-West Highway, Montgomery County, Maryland. Responses for this solicitation must be submitted via the eProcurement Portal prior to the specified deadline. Time for substantial completion shall be 320 days, which shall commence on the date set forth in the Notice to Proceed.
