The work involves furnishing and delivering the following items for the repair and maintenance of county roads: up to 300,000 tons of crushed stone, gravel, and sand; up to 500,000 tons of bituminous material; up to 20,000 gallons of hot asphalt emulsion; up to 20,000 gallons of hot asphalt concrete; up to 100,000 gallons of liquid calcium chloride; metal culvert pipe; plastic culvert pipe; and materials required for the county dust control program. Bids for gravel, sand, and crushed stone must be broken down into three categories: (1) delivered to the Clay County Highway Department Garage, (2) delivered by the ton mile to the jobsite, and (3) picked up by the Clay County Highway trucks at the supplier's plant. All materials must meet current INDOT Specifications. Bidders must submit their bids exactly according to the provided specifications. Any deviation will void the bid. Bids must be submitted on state approved forms, which are available from the County Highway Department, and must be completely filled out, sealed, endorsed accordingly, and filed at the Clay County Auditor's Office. Six copies of each bid are required. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
