The work consists of installation of 110 linear feet of 6" PVC C900, 2,415 linear feet of 8" PVC C900, 3 each 6" gate valves, 1 each 8" gate valve, 50 linear feet of 12" bore and jack steel casing, 2 each fire hydrants, 13 each tandem meter settings (not including meters), upgrades to the existing Whitewater Booster Station and all other necessary appurtenances. Attention is called to the requirements in the bid packet including Federal Labor Standard Provisions, Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates for Nicholas County, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a bid bond for 10% of the contract price. The bid hold time is 90 days. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, affirmative action requirements, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises affirmative steps, and the West Virginia Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace Act, including submission of a signed drug-free workplace affidavit with the bid. All bidders must have a West Virginia contractor's license as required by state code. Bid security must be provided according to the Instructions to Bidders.
