The work generally consists of furnishing and installing all components required to complete the repair and full abandonment of the 26-inch concrete penetration, two 10-inch penetrations, valve removal, concrete removal, and other miscellaneous work. Bids must be submitted on the provided Bid Forms and must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Bidders are required to comply with California Air Resources Board regulations. Bidders must provide, with their bid, copies of the most recent, valid Certificate of Reported Compliance (CRC) for themselves and all listed subcontractors. Failure to provide valid CRCs may render the bid non-responsive. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to contract execution. The contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and comply with all associated requirements, including prevailing wage rates and labor code provisions. The contractor must be licensed appropriately for the work and must maintain licensure throughout the duration of the contract. The District will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as determined from the base bid. The work must be completed within 60 calendar days from the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.
