The work consists of grinding, removing, and replacing three sections of existing asphalt as follows: Main Blacktop - 38,094 ft2; Lunch Table Area - 7,347 ft2; and Front Parking Area including Gym - 46,803 ft2. Each area requires grinding, removing, and hauling of existing asphalt; preparation of subgrade; installation and compaction of new asphalt; application of one coat of sealer after installation; and restriping of asphalt, as well as labor and materials. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided and conform to all instructions and addenda. The required California contractor's license is Class A or C-12. Bidders must provide a bid bond or other acceptable security in the amount of 10% of their total bid price. The awarded contractor must furnish a 100% Performance & Payment Bond. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required for eligibility to bid.
