Question Deadline 11/28/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Work for Contract No. 1 - General Construction consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the installation of the proposed orthophosphate corrosion control system at the water treatment plant that serves the Village of Scotia, New York. Work includes but is not limited to furnishing tanks, installation of metering pumps, associated tubing and chemical feed equipment, installation of underground piping to the injection point, and installation of three doghouse manholes with floats and all as further detailed in the plans and specifications. Work also includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the power conduit and wire, disconnects, pump control panel, control and signal wiring and installation and wiring of control panels provided by Contract No. 1 Accompanying each bid must be a bid bond or certified check made payable to the order of the Village of Scotia in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bidder's maximum bid amount as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to a bidder, said successful bidder will comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specification for the contract in accordance therewith. Said bid bond or certified check will be retained by the Village of Scotia, and upon completion of the contract, in accordance with said specifications, the said bid bond or certified check will be returned to the bidder. On failure to comply with the Notice to Bidders and the specifications for said contract, the successful bidder shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages to the Village of Scotia Every bid or proposal must contain a non-collusion affidavit executed by the bidder or his authorized representative. Separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. The Village of Scotia reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids submitted or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who in the Village's judgment makes the most advantageous proposal to the Village of Scotia.
