The Town is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to perform the necessary replacements of electrical panels at eleven sewer lift stations affected by Hurricane Helene. The scope of work includes assessment and replacement of all sewer lift station electrical panels affected by the hurricane storm surge. This proposal is being solicited in accordance with the Procurement Requirements for Federal grants, as provided in Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200 - Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, Procurement Standards, paragraphs 200.317 to 200.326 and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Regulations as incorporated herein in order to be eligible for reimbursement under the Public Assistance Program. Kennedy, CPPB 501 Bay Isles Road Longboat Key, Florida 34228 Email: kkennedy@longboatkey.org Selection Committee Meeting Monday, January 12, 2026 at 10:00am The Town is soliciting proposals for the replacement of electrical panels for the eleven (11) sewer lift stations that sustained damage due to Hurricane Helene. Each electrical panel has been affected by salt inundation from the hurricane's storm surge. Contractors are expected to restore these panels to pre-hurricane conditions or better. This work is vital for ensuring operational reliability and resilience in the face of future environmental challenges. The selected contractor will deliver all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment for the replacement of electrical panels as specified in this document. Each sewage lift station will undergo a thorough assessment, and where applicable, a complete overhaul of its electrical connection systems impacted by saltwater inundation will be conducted. Contractors will be required to provide a bid for the like-in-kind replacement of lift station electrical panels. Town objectives for this project include but are not limited to the following: o To replace damaged electrical panels at the eleven (11) identified sewer lift stations. o To enhance the operational efficiency and reliability of the wastewater management system. o To ensure compliance with current NEMA and NEC regulations. o To protect public health and maintain environmental integrity. 3.1 Specifics of Work A. Service and Metering: Obtain and pay for local permits, fees, and inspections. Install three-phase power systems unless otherwise approved. Utilize knife-type fused safety switches in NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosures. Ensure the service size is a minimum of 100 amps.
