The Town of Longboat Key (Town) is currently seeking sealed bids from licensed contractors to replace the Lois Avenue municipal dock. The contractor shall extract and remove the entire dock and all associated support structures, and the contractor shall reconstruct the new dock according to the engineers drawings. Any actual or prospective bidder or person who is allegedly aggrieved in the connection with the solicitation or pending award of a contract may protest to the purchasing manager. Failure to follow the bid protest procedure requirements within the time frames prescribed herein as established by the town, shall constitute a waiver of your protest and any resulting claims. SCOPE OF WORK The Town is currently seeking sealed bids from licensed and qualified contractors to provide all construction, permits, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, operation, and supervision necessary to replace the Lois Avenue municipal dock. The Contractor shall extract and remove the entire dock and all associated support structures. Additionally, the contractor shall reconstruct the new dock according to the engineers drawings. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect existing structures in the project vicinity. The Contractor shall exclude the public from the work areas in the immediate vicinity of operations. The Contractor shall provide appropriate safety measures to protect the public. The Contractor shall provide the engineer with a set of as-built drawings in sufficient detail to illustrate the horizontal and vertical components of above and below water structure relative to the construction baseline.
