Site work for a water / sewer project in Grafton, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work includes installation of approximately 40 feet of flanged steel pipe inside the manhole at the base of the Tygart Dam, approximately 240 feet of 24-inch diameter restrained joint ductile iron pipe across the Tygart Dam emergency spillway, a temporary access drive over the top of the ductile iron pipe, and other incidentals as specified and shown in the contract documents. Bidders must be Plan Holders of Record and obtain documents from the engineer's office. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond for 5% of the amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit not less than ten percent of the total bid as guaranty. Bids must remain valid for 90 days after opening. The commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid or combination of bids deemed most favorable. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid, as decided by the commissioners' full discretion.
