The City of Ames is seeking to purchase a 2500 KVA three phase pad mounted distribution transformer. Responses must be submitted prior to the specified deadline and must conform to City of Ames Specification 30PADTRANSF. Bidders may propose an equivalent item if "or acceptable equivalent" follows the approved manufacturer and catalog number on the quotation form, by submitting the manufacturer’s specifications in writing for approval at least fifteen days before the issuance of bids. The engineer's decision on the acceptability of alternate materials or equipment is final. Bids must include information on manufacturer, lead time, no load loss, and load loss. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
