The City of Foster City is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide professional engineering services for the assessment and design related to the renovation of elevators in city buildings. The project aims to assess four elevators located within city buildings and to develop the scope and construction documents--including plans, specifications, and cost estimates--to achieve the city's goals of repair, modernization, and ADA compliance. The objective is to improve the elevators' safety, efficiency, and performance. Qualified consulting firms are invited to submit proposals for this work. The purpose of the project is to assess the four (4) elevators located within City Buildings and develop construction documents (plans, specifications, cost estimates) to repair, modernize, and satisfy ADA compliance in order to improve the safety, efficiency and performance of the elevators. The City has identified the following four (4) locations and their respective elevators to be included as part of this project: 1. City Hall, 610 Foster City Boulevard, is a three-story building with one elevator. 2. Fire Station, 1040 East Hillsdale Boulevard, is a three-story building with one elevator. 3. Corporation Yard Administration Building, 100 Lincoln Drive, is a two-story building with one elevator. 4. Community Center, 1000 East Hillsdale Boulevard, is a two-story building with one elevator.
