Scope of Services This bid is for the refurbishment of the Waterfront Department's 1,000-pound capacity Hoist #2 . The bid will include the installation of a replacement wench assembly and control circuits as well as the replacement of the existing electrical panel and service disconnect all of which is to be supplied by the contractor. The selected contractor will provide all bonds, insurance, necessary materials, equipment, supervision, parts, labor, and appurtenances necessary for the project unless specified in this document. The contractor will supply all needed equipment (crane, slings, weights, etc.) for the removal, transportation, repair, installation, annual load testing of the hoist, and certification. The contractor will not have exclusive use of the City Pier since it is constantly accessed by others including commercial fishing, fuel dock, Icehouse & the US Coast Guard. All lifting operations from the City Pier must be coordinated with Waterfront's Facility Manager. In accordance with Civil Code 9550, if the bid exceeds $25,000, the Successful Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid as well as a separate Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total.
