Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Santa Barbara, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Grind 2" and overlay 7600 s.f. +/- asphalt. Restripe the parking lot to match (E). Salvage and reinstall parking stops. The existing asphalt parking area consists of (21) standard parking spaces. Protect truncated domes and ADA Parking sign/post/footing. No work will occur at the other 22 parking paces that were permitted with permeable pavers per BLD2013-00945 and reduced the parking lot by one space. In accordance with Civil Code 9550, if the bid exceeds $25,000, the Successful Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid as well as a separate Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total. This is a federally-assisted project and Davis-Bacon (DBRA) requirements will be strictly enforced. Federal Labor Standards provisions HUD-4010 will be incorporated into the successful bidder's contract and is attached hereto to this bid packet. Contractors, including all subcontractors and apprentices, must be eligible to participate. Federal Wage Determination No. CA20240014 - Mod. #15 and State of California Prevailing Wage-Index 2025-2 are attached to this bid packet and are incorporated herein. Standard Specifications The work provided herein shall be performed in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, (Latest Edition) of the Southern California Chapter American Public Works Association. Part 2 (Construction Materials), Part 3 (Construction Methods), Part 4 (Existing Improvements), and Part 6 (Temporary Traffic Control) of the Standard Specifications are incorporated herein by reference. In case of conflict between the Standard Specifications and the Special Provisions, the Special Provisions shallcontrol. All materials and construction shall be in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, "Greenbook" most recent Edition, except as provided by these Contract Documents. Work shall be done in accordance with City of Santa Barbara Public Works Department Construction Standard Details dated November 2012 and September 2019 whenever Standard Detail (STD. DTL.) is referenced on the plans or herein. Asphalt Concrete materials shall conform to Greenbook Section 302 or Caltrans Specification Section 39 as called for in these special provisions. Placement of Asphalt Concrete shall conform to these Special Provisions and theGreenbook. Traffic control, traffic stripes and pavement markings shall be constructed in accordance with Sections 82 and 84 of the Caltrans Standard Specifications, latest edition. All referenced specifications and details shall be incorporated into these Contract Documents, plans and specifications and made a part hereof as if spelled out in their entirety hereon.
