The City of Santa Barbara produces reclaimed water through the wastewater treatment process and distributes it from the Distribution Pump Station (DPS) at the El Estero Water Resource Center. The project involves maintenance and relining of a 2,000-gallon surge tank that protects water lines and pumps from potential damage caused by irregular water demands. A previous condition assessment found interior coating failures, with rust and blisters delaminating the tank’s internal coating from the steel. The work will address these coating failures in accordance with recommendations, as well as plan for periodic internal inspections every 3 to 5 years. If the bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder must provide, within ten calendar days of the Notice of Award, a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each for 100% of the bid amount.
