Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

This project will include the following work located at various locations throughout the city of West Des Moines. The project contains two divisions with Division 1 including approximately 210 (LF) PCC Curb and Gutter, 1611 Square Yards (SY) of 8" Reinforced PCC Full Depth Patching, 460 Tons Asphalt Surface Course, 312 Linear Feet (LF) 6" subdrain, Intake Adjustments, Traffic Control, and other miscellaneous work. Division 2 includes approximately 716 Square Yards (SY) of Pavement Removal and PCC Pavement installation, temporary traffic control and other miscellaneous work. Division 1 Value $416,358 Division 2 Value $94,942 All bids shall be made on the form furnished by the City through wdm.ionwave.net and shall be filed on or before the time specified above. Each proposal shall be electronically accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. Work on said project shall commence within ten (10) days of the written notice to proceed and shall be completed by October 2, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred dollars ($500.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period.
