Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Foley, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work consists principally of the construction of a new groundwater production well, including site work, electrical, and related appurtenances. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond or certified check as a proposal guaranty in an amount equal to five percent of the proposal or $50,000, whichever is less. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a bond for payment for labor and materials in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract price or each work order listing. These bonds must remain in full force and effect for a period of one year after the completed work has been accepted by the owner. All bidders must comply with the Contractor’s Licensing Laws of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work involved. Any subcontractor performing work in excess of $50,000.00 must also be licensed as a general contractor in Alabama. Submission of a proposal is evidence the proposer has examined the site, contract documents, is familiar with and will comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local Laws and Ordinances. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive formalities and technicalities in proposals, and to delay the award of contract for up to thirty days after the date for receiving proposals. No proposal will be accepted without a completed and attached Experience Form.
