Renovation of an educational facility in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The work involves the demolition of the existing roof membrane assembly and replacement with a new roof membrane assembly at Sumner Ave. Elementary and Pre-School. The scope includes installation of new roof drains, new roof equipment curbs, and electrical connection work. Qualified firms are required to register and submit bids electronically. All bidders must pay prevailing wages where applicable. Filed sub-bids are required for Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical trades. The Prime/General Contractor must be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management as a General Contractor or in Roofing and Flashing. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the relevant trades and include a current Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement. The City of Springfield requires twenty percent MWBE participation. The City reserves the right to waive informalities, or to revoke any or all bids, if deemed in the public interest.
