Site work and paving for a road / highway in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project generally consists of the full depth paving of Glenwood Avenue between Spruce Avenue and Woodland Avenue. Approximate construction quantities include 800 CY of excavation, 120 CY of HMA milling (3" or less), 230 tons of HMA surface course, 115 tons of HMA base course, 160 CY of DGA, 600 LF of concrete curb, 140 SY of concrete sidewalk, and other associated work. Bids must be furnished on the proposal sheets included in the contract documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked with the name and address of the bidder and the project title. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cash of not less than ten percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, the contract will be executed within twenty-one days and satisfactory performance bonds provided. A bid bond in the same amount may be substituted. Each bid must also include a Certificate of Experience, Certificate of Equipment, and a Certificate of Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed in New Jersey. The successful bidder must comply with Equal Opportunity Employment and Affirmative Action requirements, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Business Registration requirements, and all relevant health and safety regulations. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities or reject any or all bids if deemed in the best interest of the City.
