Scope of Work The scope of work includes selective demolition and removal; concrete formwork; concrete reinforcement; cast-in-place concrete; structural steel; metal fabrications; rough carpentry; carpentry; preservative treated lumber; preformed metal roofing; fiber cement siding; elastomeric waterproof deck coating; flashing and sheet metal; sealants; metal doors and frames; flush wood doors; vinyl window; finish hardware; gypsum wallboard; resilient tile floor; painting; markerboards and tackboards; miscellaneous specialties; asbestos abatement; lead paint control measures; handling and disposal of mercury containing lamps; testing and air monitoring; general mechanical requirements; insulation of mechanical systems; air conditioning and ventilation; testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB); basic electrical requirements; electrical demolition; grounding and bonding; hangers & supports for electrical systems; electrical identification; conductors & cables; raceways and boxes; wiring devices; interior lighting, fire alarm system; and miscellaneous related work. Clarifications The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this IFB is on December 11, 2025. All clarification requests shall be submitted via HePS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS section, and all responses shall be issued in an addendum. Substitution Requests Requests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Cory Kaizuka via E-mail at kaizuka@hawaii.edu no later than December 11, 2025 The University intends on issuing a Notice to Proceed on or about April 2026. On-site construction time shall commence on or about AUGUST 18, 2026 and be completed on or before APRIL 16, 2027. All other project requirements shall be completed on or before AUGUST 17, 2027
