The work involves building construction services, including new construction as well as maintenance and repair services for an educational building. Question submitter name will not be displayed Questions Deadline: 02/03/2026 Answers Due Date: 02/10/2026 Online - Q&A Scope of Work The scope of work includes selective removal and replacement work of the mechanical, electrical, controls, and structural systems at the Central Chiller Plant building at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Work includes replacement of the existing Chiller No.1 with an energy efficient water-cooled chiller, complete with associated pipes, valves, and accessories. Work also includes revision and expansion of the existing DDC control for the new chiller equipment, new refrigerant exhaust fan, new refrigerant gas sensors and updated refrigerant gas monitoring system, hazardous material remediation, electrical power to all new chiller equipment and associated accessories, providing a third-party commissioning agent to test all newly installed equipment; and miscellaneous related work. Substitution Requests Requests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Cory Kaizuka via E-mail at kaizuka@hawaii.edu no later than February 3, 2026.
