Mary O. Pottenger Elementary School Exterior Window and Door Replacement. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. A. Labor, materials, equipment, services and transportation required to complete cast-in- place concrete infil work shown on Drawings, as specified herein, or both, including but not limited to items noted below. 1. Furnishing and installation of concrete floor infills as indicated on the drawings. 2. Installation of items furnished by other sections (such as anchors, sleeves, bolts and plates), and required to be cast into concrete. 3. Patching of concrete floors or walls where concrete is removed by demolition for new work, new equipment or utilities. 4. Unless specifically excluded, furnishing and installation of any other items of cast-in-place concrete work indicated on drawings, specified, or obviously needed to make work of this Section complete. A. Work Included: Provide Door Hardware for doors to provide correct functions for intended use. Provide related items and services as indicated on the Drawings and as specified. B. Furnish hardware schedules and templates as required for fabrication of doors and frames under other Sections. Provide hardware that complies with applicable codes and requirements of authorities which have jurisdiction. C. Related Work: The following items are not included in this Section and will be performed under the designated Sections: 1. SECTION 061000 - ROUGH CARPENTRY 2. SECTION 081100 - HOLLOW METAL DOORS AND FRAMES 3. SECTIN 081116 - ALUMINUM FLUSH DOORS 4. SECTION 084213 ALUMINUM STOREFRONTS 5. SECTION 083323 - OVERHEAD DOORS 6. DIVISION 26 - ELECTRICAL 7. DIVISION 28 - ELECTRONIC SAFETY AND SECURITY A. Description of Work: Provide and install all lighting fixtures, complete with lamps, drivers, wiring, and control. 1. All materials, accessories, and any other equipment necessary for the complete and proper installation of all lighting fixtures included in this Contract shall be furnished by the Contractor, including those not usually indicated on the drawings or specified, but that are necessary for the proper installation and operation of the fixtures. 2. Specifications and drawings are intended to convey the salient features, function, and character of the fixtures only, and do not necessarily illustrate or set forth every item or detail necessary for completion of the work. 3. Verify final ceiling type with final architectural reflected ceiling plans prior to ordering fixture. Provide mounting accessories for proper installation in ceiling type. 4. Minor details not usually indicated on the drawings nor specified, but that are necessary for the proper execution and completion of the fixtures, shall be included, the same as if they were herein specified or indicated on the Drawings. 5. Conformance: Fixtures shall be manufactured and installed in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall be held responsible for the omission or absence of any detail, construction feature, etc. which may be required in the manufacture and installation of the fixtures. The responsibility of accurately fabricating and installing the fixtures to the fulfillment of this specification rests with the Contractor. 6. Support: Fixtures shall be securely attached to support system to meet all code requirements. 7. Codes: Materials and installation shall be in accordance with the applicable edition of the National Electrical Code (NKC) and any applicable Federal, State, and local codes and regulations. 8. UL Listing: All fixtures shall be manufactured in strict accordance with the appropriate and current requirements of the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. "Standards for Safety," and others as they may be applicable. A UL listing shall be provided for each fixture type, and the appropriate label or labels shall be affixed to each fixture or components in a position concealing it from normal view. B. Definitions: 1. CCT: Correlated color temperature 2. CRI: Color-rendering index 3. LER: Luminaire efficacy rating 4. Lumen: Measured output of lamp and luminaire, or both. 5. Luminaire: Complete lighting fixture, including remote driver housing (if required) 6. SDCM: Standard Deviation of Color Matching A. The contractor shall provide all equipment and do all work necessary to demolish and/or remove the structures indicated and prepare the site as indicated on the Drawings. B. Extent: As shown, if not, as follows: 1. Clearing and grubbing areas marked on the plans and as needed to install proposed features. 2. Stripping and stockpiling topsoil. 3. Removal of all rubbish, debris, and other materials to be disposed of as a result of the work of this section. A. The Work shall include but is not limited to the following: 1. Removing and stacking topsoil within the limits noted in the drawings or as needed. 2. Excavation of earth to the elevations noted on the drawings or specified herein, whichever is deeper. Disposing of excess excavated material generated within the limit of excavation and installing. 3. Removal and disposal of asphalt and concrete pavement to the limits as shown on drawings or as needed. A. Section includes, without limitation, providing: 1. Installation and maintenance of silt sacks over catch basins 2. Loaming and Seeding areas disturbed by excavation. 3. Sediment removal and disposal. 4. Removal and disposal of erosion control devices. 5. Final Cleanup B. Extent: As shown, if not, as follows: 1. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and other incidentals required to complete all sedimentation and erosion control work as shown or specified. A. Furnish and install the following: 1. Prefinished aluminum thermal-break windows systems for conditions indicated on the Drawings, except as otherwise specified. 2. Operable prefinished aluminum thermal break window system for condition indicated on the drawings. 3. Aluminum break metal covers, extruded profile trims, covers, panning, sills and trims (including fastening clips as required for rock guard installation) as indicated on the drawings. 4. Glass and glazing materials, factory installed to the fullest extent. 5. Sealants and caulking for joints between items furnished and installed under this section including internal metal-to-metal sealants requirements. 6. Air, vapor and water barrier transitions between windows, and between windows and exterior wall enclosures. 7. Insulation in the window frames, sub frames and panning trims. 8. Stop limiters in the operation of window sashes and vents. 9. All work included within SECTION 055314 OPERABLE STEEL ROCK GUARDS. 10. All work included within SECTION 074243 COMPOSITE WALL PANELS. B. Install the following as furnished under the designated SECTIONS: 1. Prefinished aluminum composite wall panel SECTION 074243 COMPOSITE WALL PANELS. 2. Operable steel rock guards SECTION 055314. C. Perform initial cleaning of all glass furnished hereunder. D. Coordinate with SECTION 260000 ELECTRICAL for lighting, life safety, door hardware and security related items. E. This Subcontractor shall furnish, install and maintain in safe adequate condition all staging, scaffolding and lifts regardless of height required for the proper execution of the work for this Section. F. This Subcontractor shall cooperate fully with the Owners Testing and Commissioning Agencies in the performance of all the required window testing and make all needed improvements to the window systems to conform to the project requirements. A. Work in this Section includes all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to furnish completely and install all Plumbing Systems as indicated on the Drawings and specified herein, and in general as follows: 1. Disconnect, make safe, cut and cap, and demolish existing equipment, piping and appurtenances as may be required to accommodate the new work. This Contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of all debris generated by the demolition of the plumbing systems. 2. Interior Sanitary (soil, waste, and vent) drainage System. 3. Hot and cold-water distribution System, including, piping, valves, insulation and associated accessories. 4. Plumbing fixtures, and associated trim. 5. Piping Systems identification 6. Testing and sterilization. 7. Operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and Record Drawings. 8. Obtain and pay for all inspections, licenses, permits, and approvals required by Governing Authorities and install all work in compliance thereof. B. The Work of this section is shown on Drawing P1.0. C. Examine all Project Documents for any Requirements that affect the Work of this Section, whether or not such Work is specifically mentioned in this Section. A. The work of this sec8on is work of a Publicly Bid Electrical Trade Contractor and includes the following requirements: 1. Specifica8on requirements for the Contract "ELECTRICAL" include all of the following listed Specifica8on Sec8ons in their en8rety: a. 260001 ELECTRICAL WORK b. 260500 COMMON WORK RESULTS FOR ELECTRICAL c. 260519 ELECTRICAL POWER CONDUCTORS AND CABLES d. 260526 GROUNDING AND BONDING FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS e. 260529 HANGERS AND SUPPORTS FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS f. 260533 RACEWAY AND BOXES FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS g. 262726 WIRING DEVICES h. 265100 INTERIOR LIGHTING i. 281000 ACCESS CONTROL j. 283111 ADDRESSABLE FIRE-ALARM SYSTEM 2. Core drilling for the Work of this Sec8on. 3. Cer8fied seismic restraints to meet the Commonwealth of Massachuse"s Building Code applicable at the 8me the building permit is issued. 4. Coordina8on drawings and record drawings and similar requirements. B. Alternates: Not Applicable. C. Items to Be Installed Only: Install the following items as furnished by the designated Sec8ons: a. None. D. Items to Be Furnished Only: Furnish the following items for installa8on by the designated Sec8ons: 1. Sec8on 092116 - GYPSUM BOARD ASSEMBLIES: a. Access doors in gypsum board assemblies. 2. Sec8on 095113 - ACOUSTICAL PANEL CEILINGS: a. Access doors in acous8cal 8le. E. Related Work: The following items are not included in this Sec8on and will be performed under the designated Sec8ons: 1. Sec8on 061000 - ROUGH CARPENTRY for plywood packing panels. 2. Sec8on 087100 - DOOR HARDWARE for coordina8on with electrified door hardware. 3. Sec8on 092116 - GYPSUM BOARD ASSEMBLIES for coordina8on with gypsum ceilings. 4. Sec8on 095113 - ACOUSTICAL PANEL CEILINGS for coordina8on with acous8cal ceilings. F. The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for filing all documents, payment of all fees, and securing of all inspec8ons and approvals necessary for the electrical work. G. The Electrical Subcontractor shall comply with the adopted version of NFPA 241 Standard for Safeguarding Construc8on, Altera8on, and Demoli8on Opera8ons. The Electrical Subcontractor shall prepare and submit all documenta8on required to comply with NFPA 241.
