Site work for a water / sewer project in Iowa, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally includes replacement of pumps and discharge piping, addition of standby generators, new control panels and canopies, site work, and associated pump station work at the Wastewater Lagoon Pump Station located near the main wastewater treatment facility on Railroad Avenue, and the City Park Pump Station, located on City Park Road. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids marked accordingly. Bids in the amount of $50,000 or more must be from licensed contractors under the appropriate classification and display their license number on the bid envelope. All required attachments and certifications must be included with the bid proposal. Bonds required include a bid bond (5% of the bid), a performance bond (100% of the contract price), and a payment bond (100% of the contract price) from approved sureties. The contractor must begin work within ten working days of the Notice to Proceed and complete the project within 240 calendar days. Certain federal and state requirements regarding conditions of employment, minimum wage rates, non-discrimination, and other compliance regulations are mandatory. Minority-owned firms, small businesses, and/or Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate.
