The project generally includes replacement of pumps and discharge piping, new control panels, site work, and associated pump station work at the Highway 90 Pump Station located near the intersection of Highway 90 and South Lambert Road. Also included is the installation of a new 8 sewer force main and connecting sanitary sewer manhole. Contractors or contracting firms submitting bids in the amount of $50,000 or more shall be licensed under the appropriate classification for Municipal and Public Works Construction. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the opening of bids. The Contractor shall obtain and maintain required bonds and policies, including a bid bond (5% of bid price), performance bond (100% of contract price), and payment bond (100% of contract price). The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed and will complete the work, ready for use, within 240 calendar days.
