Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Madison, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway; and one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
This project consists of traffic signal installation, milling, and overlay of the County Line Road and Royal Drive intersection, and the extension of Royal Drive from County Line Road to the east connecting with Jetplex Lane. The proposed Royal Drive typical section is a two-lane roadway with curb on the south side and a six-foot sidewalk. The project also requires the installation of storm water pipe and inlets. The project includes all work items necessary to complete the project and must conform to ADA/PROWAG requirements. Contractors are required to meet MUTCD standards for all detours and closure signage. Working hours are 7:00am to 7:00pm and the project completion timeframe is 120 calendar days from the issuance of a notice to proceed. All work is to be performed per the general and technical specifications and plans contained in the Invitation to Bid packet, which can be obtained at www.madisonal.gov under the Open Bids tab at no charge. To be eligible for award, submitted bids must be completed on original bid forms provided in the bid packet and may not be faxed or emailed. Only properly licensed general contractors per Alabama law may submit a bid. No prequalification is required for this project. The deadline for questions has been extended to Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 5pm.
