Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Kingston, Ontario. Design plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
K&P Trail improvements. A new off-road multi-use pathway, stretching more than 2 km along the former Grand Trunk Railway lands from John Counter Boulevard to Rideau Street. It will connect to existing sidewalks along Montreal Street at Belle Park and Railway Street. and will provide a key pathway connection between Kingston’s downtown to John Counter Boulevard, the Elliot Avenue trailhead and the Waaban Crossing pathway and Highway 15 trail network. The new pathway will upgrade the existing trodden path with a new three-meter asphalt surface, pathway lighting, and rest areas and benches along its length. The pathway design criteria will follow Facility Accessibility Design Standards (FADS) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards. TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering has been awarded. Construction expected fall 2026 into 2027.
