Site work and paving for a road / highway in Italy, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
**As of January 14, 2026 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 9, 2026.** Bids are invited for removing and disposing of 8-inches of existing asphalt pavement and base material, abandoned railroad rails and sleepers, reshaping and compacting existing railroad ballast, placing and compacting 6-inches of cement stabilized flexible base, and a 2.5-inch reinforced hot mix asphalt concrete overlay, including all appurtenances. Bidders are expected to inspect the site and inform themselves about all local conditions. A bid bond (5% of the bid) must accompany bids exceeding $100,000. The project will be subject to federal and state laws, prevailing wage rates, equal opportunity requirements, and Buy America Build America requirements. Debarred or ineligible contractors may not participate. Minority, small, women, and historically underutilized businesses are encouraged to bid. The lobbying certification must be included in the bid packet.
