CR Number: 2128950 NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Finger Lakes Region is requesting bids for tree felling and cleanup of trees located at Taughannock Falls State Park. Trees to be taken down will be marked. All marked trees must be taken down and cut up in a safe manner. Some trees can be ground cut, but others will need a bucket truck or lift to remove safely. Felling: Safely fell the trees along the powerlines, roadways and neighboring property. The trees will need to be cut so they lay flat on the ground, and all tension is removed with a maximum log length of 10' long. Stumps will need to be cut down with 6" above grade. Clean up: Removal of all brush and wood from felled trees. There is no on-site dumping. If chipping is done it must be hauled away. If the clean up portion is not awarded, any trees or brush that falls on roadway, drainage ditch, powerline right-of-way, or neighboring property must be cleaned up and hauled away at contractor's expense. Access to some trees is on neighboring property. Any disturbance to their property is on the contractor to repair and leave as they found it. Contractor will need to be provide Commercial General Liability Certificate to: "Inn At Taughannock" (see attached permission letter) in addition to the State of New York, Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. We have the trees to be taken down and cleaned up split up into blocks/sections. Felling of trees: Block 1, 2 & 3 and Cleanup of trees: Block 1, 2 & 3. We will prioritize what gets awarded. Method of award is based on the lowest Grand Total Cost. NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation reserves the right to make award in whole or part, at its sole discretion.
