Inquiries must clearly reference the ITB number. The City of Longwood is soliciting sealed bids from qualified demolition contractors for the complete demolition of the structure located at 451 W Warren Avenue, Longwood, Florida 32750. The successful contractor shall perform all work safely and in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws. The work includes full demolition, removal, and disposal of debris; removal of attached bridge structure; lift station removal; hazardous material removal; tree removal and asphalt demolition; and final site preparation. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and permits required to complete the project. Bid Security must be made payable to CITY OF LONGWOOD, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's Total Bid. The Bid security must be in the form of a certified or cashier's check made payable to the City of Longwood or provided on the Bid Bond Form issued by a Surety meeting the requirements of these Contract Documents. The selected Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond with good and sufficient surety. The Performance Bond must be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract amount to be submitted by the contractor awarded a contract at the time of contract execution. The CITY reserves the right to accept or reject any or all BIDS and to make the award to the Bidder, who, in the opinion of the CITY, will be in the best interest of and/or the most advantageous to the CITY. The CITY also reserves the right to reject the BID of any Bidder who has previously failed in the proper performance of an award or to deliver on time contracts of a similar nature, or who, in the CITY's opinion, is not capable of performing properly or adequately under this ITB.
