Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
For a Sound System Forrest County will purchase a complete turnkey audio and LED video wall system. Scope includes design, procurement, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, documentation, and training. PH Bidding has been tasked with managing the bid process, which includes a reverse auction. The James Lynn Cartlidge Forrest County Multipurpose Center is an arena and county fairgrounds complex located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It consists of many buildings including a 120,000-square-foot main arena, a covered warm-up arena, and a conference center with 3,360 square feet of floor space. Project Location: The Center at Forrest County Address: 962 Sullivan Dr, Hattiesburg, MS 39401 Primary Contact: Jeremiah Branch Forrest County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to extend the auction date if necessary to complete the pre-qualification process. Bidding will be held by Electronic Reverse Auction on December 19, 2025, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Board of Supervisors expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part of any or all bids and waive any informalities. The Forrest County Multipurpose Center is a premier facility hosting a wide variety of events, including livestock shows, rodeos, sporting events, concerts, trade shows, and community gatherings. To enhance the functionality and audio experience for all users, this project entails the removal of the existing, outdated individual sound systems located throughout the complex and replacing them with new, modern, weather-resistant audio systems tailored to each specific area. The new sound systems will be designed to provide superior sound quality, flexibility, and ease of operation while incorporating advanced networking capabilities. Each zone will feature an independent sound system that can be controlled locally or integrated into a centralized audio network managed by a main system processor. This upgrade ensures seamless operation, improved reliability, and enhanced user experience for both event organizers and attendees. The installation of a center-hung, 360-degree, large-scale LED video panel system consisting of four 14.76ft x 8.30ft display screens. This cutting-edge technology will provide an immersive viewing experience, elevate the venue's marketability, and create new revenue streams through sponsorships and advertisements. In addition to the center hung LED video display, two additional LED panel display screens measuring 140" L x 80" H will be added to the east end of the arena for sponsor recognition and additional advertisement display. Work should be substantially completed by February 1, 2026. Audio and Video Systems must withstand dust, moisture, and heavy use. o Equipment should require minimal maintenance. o Professionally engineered rigging and structural support to ensure long-term safety. o Ability to adjust volume and EQ settings per zone. o Support for wireless microphones and portable audio inputs. o Ability to display live video, instant replays, event schedules, sponsor logos, and emergency alerts. o Simple controls for non-technical staff. o Clear labeling and quick-access presets for common event types. o Options to expand or upgrade the audio and video systems in the future. o Compatibility with additional AV equipment (e.g., video displays). o Manufacturer warranties on equipment. o Access to technical support for troubleshooting. o Centralized Control & Network Integration.
