Provide six new metal stairways at the PDX Cargo Center West Building. The work includes reconstruction of existing concrete foundation pads. The work progress schedule requirement is established to ensure adequate planning, scheduling, management, and execution of the work by the Contractor, and to enable the Port to evaluate work progress and make contract time adjustments. The work specified in this section consists of submitting a contract schedule, monthly updates, four-week schedules for progress meetings, and a final as-built schedule. The planning, scheduling, management, and execution of the work in accordance with the contract is the responsibility of the Contractor. DESCRIPTION A. The work includes but is not limited to: Providing six new metal stairways at the PDX Cargo Center West Building. The work includes reconstruction of existing concrete foundation pads. B. The Port will demolish and remove the existing stairways prior to installation of the new stairways by the Contractor. C. The existing state prevailing rate of wage and, if applicable, the federal prevailing rate of wage required under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 3141 et seq.) apply to this work.
