Renovation of a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The Central Virginia VA Healthcare System seeks a design-build contractor to design and install electrical infrastructure that connects new normal power generators and switchgear, located near the Dominion Energy substation, to existing emergency power circuits originating in Building 503. The work includes civil site improvements, medium and low voltage distribution wiring and duct, transformers, and modification and programming of electrical switchgear and breakers. The contractor will also provide construction drawings, cost estimates, and specifications in compliance with VA Technical Information Library standards. This project will allow for the decommissioning of existing generators and is anticipated to be awarded as a Firm-Fixed Price contract with an estimated magnitude between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000.
