A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a Consent of Surety, plus a bid guarantee in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, not to exceed $20,000.00, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, binding the bidder to execute a contract and furnish the required performance bond within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of the bid. A Non-Collusion Affidavit shall also be submitted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond for the faithful performance of the contract in an amount not less than 100% of the total price for the completed contract. Said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey, and acceptable to the Board of Health. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a surety company binding it to provide and issue the required performance bond. All questions must be sent in writing to purchasing@oceancountyhealth.gov before 4:00 pm on December 17, 2025. Questions will not be answered over the phone. The renovations are to be performed to the Toms River Animal Shelter, 235 Oak Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753 Whole building renovation to the 235 Oak Avenue and addition including, demolition, general construction, HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing as detailed in the technical specifications/construction documents. Each bid submitted must be complete in that it shall include all material and work required to completely perform the contract.
