Renovation of a mixed-use development in Baltimore, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Contractor shall perform all work in compliance with provided specifications and all applicable local, national, federal, and VA standards, specifications, and guidelines. Prior to starting construction, the contractor must submit an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) plan for approval by the VA Infection Control team. Infection control severity levels will be based on the ICRA included in the bid documents, not the architectural drawings. Work must be phased to minimize disruptions to veterans and VA staff. Any new penetrations or existing penetrations in walls or ceilings discovered during construction must be properly fire caulked and sealed. Offerors are required to verify field conditions through a pre-bid site walk and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed. All construction activities shall occur during normal working hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., unless off-hours or weekend work is approved in advance by the VA Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Construction Period Services will be provided by the Design A/E of record, Spees Design Build, LLC. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
