The work generally consists of removing existing coatings, surface preparation, application of new coatings, various appurtenance repair and replacements, and other miscellaneous work as described herein. The proposed work shall be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents. No Pre-bid meeting scheduled. Site of Work: On various streets within the City of St. Helena as shown on the plans, St. Helena, CA. 94574 The contractor shall possess a valid Class A, B, or C-36 contractor's license at the time that the contract is awarded. Please contact Project Manager for approval of alternative license classifications not listed but may be applicable The construction is estimated to be completed within 60 working days from Notice to Proceed. Interior work must be completed by March 1, 2026, Contractor liable for temporary storage and bypass operations if work not completed by March 1, 2026, see Special Notice. California State prevailing wage rates will be required on this project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Cash, a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of CITY OF ST. HELENA, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price Bids may be held by the CITY OF ST. HELENA for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract.
