Project Site (City, Village, etc.) : Unalaska DUT Unalaska Captains Bay Road- Design Services The Department is seeking professional engineering design services for the rehabilitation of Captain's Bay Road in Unalaska, Alaska. This is a federally funded (FHWA) local transportation project. The City of Unalaska (COA) is the owner and operator of this local roadway and are providing local match funding in accordance with an executed MOA dated 11/5/2024. All design; bidding and construction contract administration services are being provided by the Department considering the federal aid funding sources. This project encompasses the complete reconstruction of Captain's Bay Road, from Airport Beach Road to mile point 1.4 south thereof, including paving surfaces, storm drainage facilities, ADA compliant sidewalks and other associated amenities or features as may be required. Expected work includes all civil engineering, geotechnical, surveying, ROW engineering and support services for public involvement and environmental work items.
