Renovation of an educational facility in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Austin Independent School District (herein after referred to as "AISD" or the "district") is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide custom serving line upgrades at Akins High School and Bowie High School kitchens. Question Deadline 12/02/2025 at 3:00 PM CT Deadline to submit Questions Online. Questions & Answers Posted online. Dec 5th 2025, 3:00 PM CST Provide Counters, as detailed below and per plans. Counter body and framing to be semi-open base style, modular construction fabricated with 304 grade stainless steel and 18-gauge undershelves located where applicable. 3CM manufactured stone countertops with overhang to act as trayslide on leading edge of countertops and sides as drawn with UL compliant LED lighting underneath overhang 3CM countertop and overhang to be 34" A.F.F. 304 Stainless steel flat front kickplates. Tile fronts to be provided and installed by Mod-U-Serve Elite IV breath guards to be constructed of 18-gauge 304 stainless steel, 14 gauge 1" diameter posts extended through countertop and secured to framing within counter. Heat and light to be provided over heated equipment and light only over cold equipment. Front and top glass to be 3/8" tempered glass with 1/4" tempered glass end panels. Full height, fully adjustable front glass at full-service locations and half height, fully adjustable front glass at self-serve locations. NSF compliant to latest standards. 304 Stainless steel legs with adjustable bullet feet on counter requiring direct electrical connection. All electrical to be wired to UL compliant interconnect box and or load center where applicable. All receptacles mounted in counter to be recessed and labeled. Custom controls panels are remotely located for all equipment with accompanying labels Left Serving Area Counters: provide QTY Two (2) of the following counters per plan: Flat top countertop space comprised of 3CM stone as drawn, hot food counter with a bank of six (6) Alto-Shaam waterless hot wells. Model# 400-HWI/D6 and 200-HWI/D6 with independent infinite controls housed in custom remotely located control panels, 208 volt. Flat top countertop space comprised of 3CM stone as drawn, with Item cold food counter, with QTY four (4) pan capacity mechanically cooled cold food wells and one (1) 1/2 " recessed cold unit in overshelf to accommodate two (2) 18" X 26" sheet pan. Provided with independent rocker switch controls housed in custom remotely located control panel. Provided with 18-gauge 304 grade stainless steel divider bars. 1" condensate drain to be pre-plumbed for ease of final connection by plumbing contractor. Refrigeration to be remotely installed within module on slide out skid for ease of accessibility/maintenance. Counter Includes Mod-U-Serve MCT-MC2 Milk Crate recessed in counter body to accommodate QTY Two (2) mechanically cooled 13"x13"x13" milk crates per plan with insulated 304 stainless steel removable covering for Milk Unit. Counter to include Mod-U-Serve MCT-BV1-S beverage unit, with QTY two (2) basket inserts and a clear bi-folding lexan lid. QTY one (1) Cashier Counter. Counter body and framing to be semi-open base style, construction fabricated with 304 grade stainless steel and 18-gauge undershelves located where applicable. Includes flat top landing space with grommeted cutout access to DR 5-15R convenience outlet. Each counter Includes cashier stand with liner, electrical and data provisions for owner provided POS stations. To include locking cash drawers with removable cash tills, and removable CPU shelves. Right Serving Area Counters: provide QTY Two (2) of the following counters per plan: lat top countertop space comprised of 3CM stone as drawn, hot food counter with bank of four (4) Alto-Shaam waterless hot wells. Model# 400-HWI/D6 with independent infinite controls housed in custom remotely located control panels, 208 volt. Custom Heat-Thru stone counter model Mod-U-Serve MCT-HFSP-CUST comprised of QTY three (3) 20" heated stone sections with 1/2 " recessed heated unit in overshelf to accommodate three (3) 18" X 26" sheet pans. Each section provided with independent rocker switch controls housed in custom remotely located control panel. Cold food counter, with QTY three (3) pan capacity mechanically cooled cold food wells and one (1) 1/2 " recessed cold unit in overshelf to accommodate one (1) 18" X 26" sheet pan. Provided with independent rocker switch controls housed in custom remotely located control panel. Provided with 18-gauge 304 grade stainless steel divider bars. 1" condensate drain to be pre-plumbed for ease of final connection by plumbing contractor. Refrigeration to be remotely installed within module on slide out skid for ease of accessibility/maintenance. Counter Includes Mod-U-Serve MCT-MC2 Milk Crate recessed in counter body to accommodate QTY Two (2) mechanically cooled 13"x13"x13" milk crates per plan with insulated 304 stainless steel removable covering for Milk Unit. Counter to include Flat top countertop space comprised of 3CM stone as drawn, with QTY three (3) grommeted cutout access to DR 5-15R convenience outlet. Structural Concepts Merchandisers Awarded K.E.C. to provide QTY two (2) Structural Concepts Merchandisers Model number BN37R. Awarded K.E.C. to include delivery and set in place of Structural Concepts merchandisers on site. Unit to have extended 2-year parts and labor warranty, 5-year compressor warranty. Removable solid security cover, locking. Rear loading hinged doors (QTY1 right hinged, QTY1 left hinged) 4 metal shelves lighted with LED 4000K Type 1 self-contained refrigeration 120v, 6' straight blade power cord
