This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Santa Rosa, California. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The County of Sonoma Public Infrastructure Department is pleased to invite you to respond to an RFP for Hazardous Waste Removal and Disposal Services. The County of Sonoma ("County") intends to enter into agreements with qualified firms to provide hazardous waste removal services. This Request for Proposal (RFP) applies to Sonoma County and its unincorporated areas. Sonoma County Public Infrastructure's (SPI) Roads Division maintains 1,369 miles of roadway across unincorporated Sonoma County. In the course of its operations, SPI frequently encounters hazardous materials resulting from vehicle accidents, illegal dumping, and roadway spills. These materials pose significant risks to public safety, the environment, and the continued operation of the County's transportation network. Sonoma County Transit, a division of SPI, operates a countywide network of buses, park-and-ride lots, and passenger shelters that support safe and reliable public transportation. During its operations, Sonoma County Transit also regularly generates or encounters hazardous materials at its bus yard, park-and-ride locations, and bus stops/shelters. These materials may result from routine vehicle maintenance, accidental spills, illegal dumping, or other incidents, and they similarly present risks to public safety, the environment, and the continued delivery of transit services. SPI staff are not certified to identify, handle, or transport hazardous substances in accordance with State and Federal regulations. As such, SPI requires the support of qualified hazardous material contractors who possess the training, equipment, and credentials to ensure the proper identification, removal, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste. Proposers will be required to submit any and all questions in writing per the schedule in order for staff to prepare written responses to all consultants. Written answers will be shared with all potential bidders through an addendum on the County's online Portal and email notification. Questions should be sent via email directly to Tiffany.Coe@sonomacounty.gov . Questions will not be accepted by phone. . Specifically, Consultants must submit: One (1) signed original hard copy. One (1) electronic copy on a flash drive. The hard and digital copies of the proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope/package and clearly marked "Proposal for Hazardous Waste Removal and Disposal".
