The project involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services for playground matting at five sites: Sandburg Elementary School, Toler Elementary School, Edison Elementary School, Kimbrough Elementary School, and Carver Elementary School. The project estimate is between $815,000.00 and $875,000.00. Bidders are required to possess a valid and appropriate California State Contractors License (C-61/D-34 or other suitable type). Bidders must be prequalified with the District for projects under $1 million. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the terms, conditions, plans, specifications, drawings, and provided documents. Each bid shall be in accordance with all terms, conditions, plans, specifications, drawings, and any other documents that comprise the bid package and shall be submitted on the bid forms provided in PlanetBids. Under Public Contract Code section 20111(b)(1), bids shall be accompanied by a satisfactory bid security in the form of either a bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company or a certified or cashier's check in favor of the San Diego Unified School District, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid value. Each bid must include a bid security equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid value. All contractors and listed subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Prevailing wage requirements apply for the duration of the contract.
