RTD is seeking responses from qualified respondents to provide repairs and renovations to the East Metro isolation bay (Pit 4) This project includes the replacement of various components of the existing RTD East Metro Inspection Pit The Work includes: All construction supervision, demolition, rebuilding, and furnishing and installing of materials; all permits, labor, materials, tools and equipment, and any incidentals necessary to provide a complete and functional system. This includes all concrete, structural steel, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and electrical connections. The contractor shall dispose of all removed material in accordance with state and federal laws. All work shall adhere to all applicable codes, built to industry standards, and installed in a professional manner. Background Inspection Pit 4 was installed as part of the original building construction in 1980. The structural steel of the drive lane of Pit 4 has pulled away from the concrete stem wall and has been shored up twice in past projects. Currently, the concrete stem wall that supports the structural steel and also acts as a retention wall for Pit 4 shows signs of failure. The design for repair of inspection Pit 4 was conducted by the design team of S.E.H. The repairs in this project include removing all utilities from Pit 4, removing any remaining structural steel, cutting the concrete stem walls to 16" below finish grade, installing reinforcement that ties the stem wall to the structural deck, placing new concrete, then installing all structural steel and utilities. RTD sends responses to written questions, if any, to all prospective bidders through online December 17, 2025, 2:00pm. The Contract shall be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the IFB and is most advantageous to RTD, considering price and the factors as may be set out in the IFB. Subject to the Termination provision of the Contract, performance shall commence as of the Effective Date (or in the event that RTD provides a Notice to Proceed to the Contractor, the Period of Performance shall commence on the date of the Notice to Proceed) and shall continue for 1 year (subject to the exercise of any option periods). Bids shall be valid for a duration of no less than ninety (90) days from bid due date.
