Renovation of a parking garage in Omaha, Nebraska. Working plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

The work requires a Design-Build team to provide all design services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and construction necessary to correct parking garage safety deficiencies at the VA Health Care System Central Plains in Omaha, Nebraska. The effort includes developing and installing a dry-pipe fire suppression system and jump-prevention barriers within the parking garage. All design solutions must follow Veterans Health Administration design guidelines and incorporate best practices. Jump-prevention barriers must align with the architecture of the existing garage and be mounted to the existing barriers in a manner that allows removal and reinstallation during future modifications. The contractor must supply an integrated design-build team consisting of licensed architects, engineers, and construction professionals across architectural, civil, structural, mechanical/plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and environmental disciplines. All architects and engineers are required to be licensed in their field of practice. The fire protection engineer must meet the qualifications outlined in the VA Project Fire Protection Engineer "Qualifications and Scope of Services," and the contractor must provide an independent peer review for all life-safety and fire protection elements. All design, construction, and post-construction activities are within the scope of the Performance of Work Statement. Location: VA Health Care System Central Plains 4101 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
