The summary of work for this project is to convert (51) existing S2 locks to (51) Vanderbuilt card readers at the 63rd District Court building. Additional optional work of adding 7 new readers and locks. Security Contractor to provide all programing. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 12/30/2025, 2 PM Any and all communication regarding this Solicitation shall be on the Kent County Purchasing Division Inquiry Blog via the Bid Opportunities page or during pre-proposal meetings. Equipment furnished under this section shall be a complete electronic access control system to include but not limited the following elements: 1. Controller 2. System software 3. Reader interface 4. Power supplies 5. Card readers and credentials 6. Wiring, switches, and ancillary equipment The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids to install a Security Card Access System in the Kent County 63rd District Court located at 1950 E Beltline Ave NE. There are a total of 51 readers and 51 strikes needed on two (2) floors. Security contractor to provide all programing. Work is to be performed during normal business hours Monday - Friday, 7am to 3pm. Kent County desires the project to begin as soon as possible, once the project is started, work will be continuous until the point of completion. Additional optional work of adding 7 new readers and locks. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable.
