Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of a 720-square-foot building to house three UV disinfection modules, magnetic flowmeters, valving, piping, electrical, and controls, as well as all associated appurtenances. Installation of a portable diesel generator, 520 feet of 18-inch water main, and valves will be included if additive alternates are awarded. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump-sum/unit-price basis, and all bids are to be evaluated on the basis of the Base Bid amount. Prospective bidders must verify the completeness of their printed bidding documents before submitting their bids and accompanying executed addenda acknowledgment forms. No faxed or emailed bids will be accepted. Each bid must be submitted in accordance with the bidding documents, construction drawings, and specifications. Only licensed contractors in the State of California, skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of required work, having a Class A California Contractor's license, are eligible. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The general prevailing wage rate applies. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to make an award in the best interest of the owner.
