Renovation of a municipal facility in Doral, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.

The City of Doral is soliciting bids from qualified general contractors for the renovation of an existing third-floor space at the City of Doral Government Center, located at 8401 NW 53rd Terrace, Doral, FL 33166. The project is for the creation of a new City Council area, which will include offices, a conference room, and a work area. The scope of work covers all material, labor, equipment, and services necessary to complete this renovation, as more particularly described in the invitation to bid. The scope of work includes the demolition and removal of existing interior components within the space, followed by a comprehensive renovation. Improvements will consist of the installation of new double-panel insulated storefront glass, construction of soundproof walls, new flooring, and a new acoustical tile ceiling system. The project also includes new lighting, reconfiguration and installation of HVAC systems, electrical, (data/AV lowvoltage infrastructure will be installed internally by our Doral I.T. Department), new doors and hardware, new paint, as well as modifications and reconfiguration of the fire protection system. Please refer to Exhibit A in attached documents for approved plan drawings. The control of dust shall mean that no construction activity shall take place without applying all such reasonable measures as may be required to prevent particulate matter from becoming airborne so that it remains visible beyond the limits of construction. a. Reasonable measures may include paving, frequent road cleaning, planting vegetative groundcover, application of water or application of chemical dust suppressants. b. The use of chemical agents such as calcium chloride must be approved by the State of Florida DOT. 2. Utilize methods and practices of construction to eliminate dust in full observance of agency regulations. 3.
