Renovation of a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and medical facility.
The certified Iowa TSB participation goal for this project is 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid. This project will address the renovation and modernization of fourteen (14) existing operating rooms at MCD and their associated diagnostic / treatment platforms. This includes new equipment, replacement of finishes, infrastructure updates, information technology upgrades, medical gas system improvements and systems integration. Project construction will be completed in phases to minimize disruption to perioperative operations. The building will remain occupied, and surgeries will be taking place during the work. The scope includes, but is not limited to Replace all Line Isolation Monitors, including associated wiring. New penthouse and air handling unit will be installed on roof and connected to ductwork in existing Level 3 Penthouse to serve as redundant source of HVAC. OR 14 and 15 will need surgical booms / lights replaced. Updates to the Telecom Room supporting the OR. This project will modernize operating rooms, corresponding medical equipment, and supportive MEP utilities to the Main Operating Room (OR) at UI Health Care Medical Center Downtown (MCD) campus.
