Metro Parks & Nature has committed to making ADA-accessibility upgrades and fixes across its developed parks, cemeteries, and boat ramps. This project will be focused on improving accessibility at Graham Oaks Nature Park (GONP) in Wilsonville, OR. Contractor will make improvements to the Tonquin Regional Trail which passes through Graham Oaks Nature Park where the degrading asphalt meets two concrete bridges as well as creating two accessible bench seating areas alongside the trail. The bench seating areas are an additive alternate. The bench seating areas are an additive alternate. 1. Bridges The bridges are concrete, and the regional trail is asphalt. There are significant gaps, changes in level (CIL), and deterioration/sloughing off the trail edges. See the sample photos below (Image 1 - 3). Contractor will make repairs to the asphalt trail where it meets both bridges. NOTE: Ground disturbance must not exceed the boundaries of the already disturbed area of the regional trail (i.e., not stretch into the park's wetlands). 2. Bench Companion Seating (Additive Alternate) There are two (2) benches along the Tonquin Regional Trail that require accessibility improvements - the construction of pads with firm and stable surfaces; adding companion seating on both ends of the bench.
