Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary for the removal and legal disposal of one (1) non operational 80-ton HVAC Carrier Model 30XAA806P-05R35, Serial Number 4607Q91902 unit,\ and furnish and installation one (1) equivalent new HVAC unit, associated electrical supply, plumbing, and HVAC components to Caltrans. Purpose and Description of Services 1. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary for the removal and legal disposal of one (1) nonoperational 80-ton HVAC Carrier Model 30XAA806P-05R35, Serial Number 4607Q91902 unit, and furnish and installation one (1) equivalent new HVAC unit, associated electrical supply, plumbing, and HVAC components to Caltrans. 2. The Services shall be performed at Caltrans San Luis Obispo District 5 Office, located at 50 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. A. Contractor shall complete the installation of the HVAC system in accordance with state and local requirements, including but not limited to rules and regulations of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, current Uniform Mechanical Code, current International Mechanical Code, and current Electrical Codes B. Contractor shall configure the work so existing operational HVAC unit, Carrier Model 30RBF08065-LK-03, SN 4621Q93055 remains in operation during the replacement of non-operational HVAC unit. C. Contractor shall use all new materials for installation. D. Contractor shall schedule all work and building access with Caltrans Contract Manager prior to starting work. E. Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing and installing all fused disconnect switches, conduits, wire, fittings, etc. for connections and modifications for new equipment. 1) Removal of existing non-operational unit (See Attachment A, Photographs): a. Contractor shall perform Lock Out/Tag Out for existing Carrier HVAC unit. b. Contractor shall de-energize all electrical leads and safely secure. c. Contractor shall provide required labor and equipment to remove existing refrigerant from existing systems. d. Contractor shall disconnect all utilities and piping from existing non-operational Carrier Model 30XAA0806P-05R35, SN 4607Q91902, HVAC unit and prepare for removal. e. Contractor shall provide crane service, rigging for the removal of the existing HVAC unit, if needed. f. Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and legal disposal of existing non-operational HVAC unit. 2) Installation a. Contractor shall furnish and install a new Carrier Model 30RBF08065 HVAC unit, or equivalent. b. Contractor shall provide an HVAC unit with the following specifications: i. Nominal Cooling: 80 Tons ii. Voltage: 460/3Ph/60Hz iii. Refrigerant: R-410a iv. Scroll compressors: Yes v. Microchannel Condenser Coils: Epoxy Coated c. Contractor shall secure new equipment to the existing concrete pad. d. Contractor shall provide crane service to install the new HVAC unit, if needed. e. Contractor shall inspect, reuse, or replace as needed, all refrigeration lines, electrical switches, conduit, wiring, and any other components. f. Contractor shall reconfigure and connect electrical connection to adapt to new HVAC unit. g. Contractor shall reconfigure and connect closed water loop connections to adapt to the new HVAC unit. h. Contractor shall install brand new insulation for the water loop system, replacing any insulation that had to be removed during the course of their work. The total bid proposal for this Agreement must not exceed $461,000.00. A bid amount more than $461,000.00 will be deemed non-responsive and will be rejected.
