The work generally consists of weekly cleaning of the restrooms, which includes wiping down all surfaces (toilet, sink, urinal, mirrors, shelves), basic mopping of floors, and restocking supplies. For the kitchen, wipe down all surfaces (counter, backsplash, outside of fridge, and microwave), scour the sink, clean dishes and mop the floor. Dustmop the community room and hallway. Vacuum all carpet. Monthly tasks include mopping the community room and hallway, cleaning the display glass in the community room and hallway, cleaning the windows (both inside and out), cleaning the glass front door, deep scrubbing restroom floors and fixtures, and de-cobwebbing the ceilings, artwork, tops of doors, and similar areas. Cleaning products will be supplied. The fridge and microwave must also be wiped out. This service must be completed during hours City Hall is open, Monday to Friday, 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project (marked “Cleaning of City Hall”) and delivered to the City of Peru, Nebraska, 614 5th Street, Peru, NE 68421. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the Nebraska Fair Employment Practice Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §48-1101 et seq., Neb. Rev. Stat. §§81-1355 through 81-1368, and Nebraska State Constitution Art. 1-30 Affirmative Action requirement. The Peru City Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
