Renovation of an educational facility in Butler, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Sealed bids will be received for window replacements at Butler High School, 38 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, New Jersey, including all work incidental thereto. Contract drawings, specifications, and proposal forms are available for examination. Bids will be received for a single overall contract and all work incidental to it. Bids must be submitted in the designated manner, using Proposal Forms, placed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the proposal identification number on the outside. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond drawn to the order of the Board of Education, for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, but not more than $20,000. Each bidder must submit with its bid a Certificate of Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating that it will provide the bidder, and all subcontractors if successful, with a Performance/Payment Bond in the full contract amount. If bidders are not providing surety for subcontractors, then the subcontractor must provide their own surety and proof at the time of bid submission. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality if in its interest. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, and regulations, including Affirmative Action requirements. All bidders and subcontractors must be prequalified and classified in the C012: Windows discipline by the New Jersey Department of Treasury prior to the time and date bids are received. Registration with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Department of Treasury is required at the time of bid submission, along with proof of registration certificates for the bidder and named subcontractors. The Board reserves the right not to award a contract for any portion of the project or to terminate the contract if requisite approvals are not obtained from the appropriate state agency.
